NOODLER’S INKS NOW IN MANILA

Noodler’s fountain pen inks are now available in Manila, exclusively at Scribe Writing Essentials!  This news has made so many members of our pen club, Fountain Pen Network-Philippines, very happy.

I am not affiliated with Scribe, nor am I paid by them to announce this – this is by way of a public service announcement for fountain pen lovers interested in buying Noodler’s inks in Manila.  Each bottle costs PhP 595 (for 3oz. weight of ink (about 80-90ml?).  That’s just a bit over USD 13, inclusive of local taxes. Yes, I ordered my favorite color, Noodler’s Army Green (a nice olive green-khaki color), because it’s not in the current batch of ink being sold.  I got a bottle a few years ago from my cousin in the US, and was worried about where I’d get another one when it ran out.  Now that Noodler’s is in Manila, I can buy other colors I’ve been interested in as well!

More and more people are growing interested in using fountain pens here in Manila, as evidenced by the growing membership in our pen group Fountain Pen Network-Philippines.  For a long time Parker, Waterman, Cross and Montblanc were the only brands readily available in the local fountain pen market.  Now there are new brands available:  Lamy, Pelikan, Sailor, to name a few.  Waterman,Aurora, Cross and Rotring are now no longer being sold here, while Sheaffer recently reintroduced itself.  The local Pilot distributor sells only school pens, not the fine writing instruments, nor the ink.

As of this time, there are no local distributors yet for Rohrer & Klingner, Aurora, Visconti, De Atramentis, Pilot (regular and Iroshizuku), and other popular brands of ink.  For these, we resort to buying from eBay or online stores based overseas.
